Job Summary
Quality Control I is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and procedures meet established quality standards throughout the production cycle. This role performs inspections, maintains documentation, and supports continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure customer requirements are met.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Performs regular inspections of materials, components, processes, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Follows and supports established quality assurance procedures, standards, and methods throughout all stages of production.
- Assists in quality investigations by identifying nonconformities, documenting findings, and helping determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Supports customer and third party inspections, tours, and audits by providing required documentation and assisting with inspection activities.
- Communicates quality findings, issues, and trends to appropriate internal personnel to ensure timely resolution.
- Interacts with customers, suppliers, and third party partners as needed to exchange quality related information and clarify requirements.
- Travels to customer, supplier, third party, or training locations as required.
- Maintains quality logs, checklists, prints, PPAP documentation, and other required records.
- Participates in training, seminars, and classes to maintain and enhance quality assurance knowledge and skills.
- Prepares quality related reports and documentation as required.
- Performs other quality related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in quality management, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving ability, and understanding of quality assurance principles.
