Fort Recovery Industries Inc. is looking for a Quality Engineer to support process improvement, root cause analysis, and product quality in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Purchasing to drive quality outcomes that meet our standards and customer expectations. The role places a strong emphasis on CMM programming/operation, gauge calibration, and maintaining measurement system accuracy.
PayRange
Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $/yr
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provides support in the development of new process documentation and the development of existing work procedures.
- Uses statistical tools and techniques to conduct work/method studies to provide improvement-based recommendations to Quality Management.
- Supports the development and maintenance of Quality Management Systems across departments for Operations.
- Investigate, analyze and resolve production and/or new model development quality problems by conducting product audits, analyzing defect trends and leading cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
- Program and maintain CMM equipment.
- Interpret GD&T and engineering drawings to create accurate measurement plans.
- Support PPAP submissions, layouts and capability studies.
- Oversee the calibration program for all measurement instruments and gauges.
- Investigate internal quality issues on production quality, processes and equipment using basic quality information gathering techniques and statistical techniques.
- Establish, maintain, and track quality standards to ensure consistency while maintaining quality production.
- Participate in process audits to address specific issues such as production modifications and changes, deviations from quality standards, or for timely audits of the respective quality system.
- Address customer and internal product concerns by documenting and communicating problem tracking activities as well as monthly performance reports to track the performance of the respective production area.
- Analyze monthly performance reports and process data to identify areas of improvement and develop the necessary improvement plans.
- Train and mentor new engineers & quality associates in a hands‑on environment.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of quality tools including PQCT, capability studies and GD&T.
- Strong experience or knowledge with CMM programming.
- Knowledge of gauge calibration methods and metrology equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9000.
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
- Set up and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action and Material Review Board (MRB) activities; review the effectiveness of actions and share lessons learned across the product team.

Lean Six Sigma.
