Maintenance Department - Seasonal Parks Technician

Genoa Township is hiring Seasonal Parks Technicians at $18.00/hour. The start and end dates for this role are flexible (May–October) to accommodate various summer break schedules. Typical working hours are full-time, Monday–Friday 07:00–3:30.

This position requires physical labor that is primarily performed outdoors. You’ll help maintain parks, trails, playgrounds, and facilities that families enjoy every day. • Perform maintenance and repair for township buildings, parks, trails, recreation facilities, shelter houses, sport courts, and open areas, including mowing, landscaping, weed eating, trimming trees and shrubbery, removing trash, and cleaning restrooms;
• Clean and perform routine maintenance of playgrounds, drinking fountains, and restroom facilities;
• Water, mow, weed, plant trees, flowers, and shrubs;
• Assist with Township special events;
• Collect trash;
• Respond to residents and staff in a courteous and timely manner;
• Abide by the Genoa Township Personnel Policy Manual;
• Comply with all legal and ethical requirements for public employees in the State of Ohio;
• Perform other duties as assigned;
