Veterinary Technician - Floater

Overview

Multi-award winning veterinary hospitals at Blanchester and Loveland locations are seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative for a floating position. 20-40 hours per week with a flexible schedule. 3 Saturdays per month (8:00am-2:00pm or 12:00pm-5:00pm).

Two locations:
Loveland and Blanchester, about 15 minutes apart on State Route 28.

We provide high quality care to dogs, cats, exotics, reptiles, and farm animals (sheep, goats, and birds). Our team includes seven doctors and a skilled technical staff dedicated to top-notch patient care. We keep up with the latest technology and education, including a therapy laser, surgical laser, ultrasound, digital radiography, and digital dental radiography. We see urgent care and wellness appointments and perform daily surgery and dental blocks.

• Exam room preparation: client communication and education about wellness, vaccines, flea and heartworm prevention. Draw up vaccines, blood collection, fecal and urine collection.
• Surgery preparation, recovery, invoicing, and surgical notes.
• Hospitalization care.
• Drug calculations and SC injections.
• Client communication and medical records management.
• Laboratory skills: IDEXX Chemistry/CBC;
  Sedivue for urinalysis.
• Ear cytology, skin smears, urinalysis, needle aspirates (with advanced training).
• Support the team in a dynamic, learning-focused environment.

• Experience preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate in all hospital departments.
• Love of animals and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

• Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour, based on experience.
