Position is based out of our Chardon location and requires Saturday hours.
Position PurposeThe Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the facility. To maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Patient liaison for care rendered. Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies and equipment needs and report to Clinic Manager.
InterpersonalRelationships
As a representative of our practice, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the facility's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations and set an example for the staff.
Position RequirementsLicenses or
Certifications:
Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course; ACLS preferred, and PALS preferred.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Current ACLS preferred and PALS certificate preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of 2 years' experience in spinal injections and paint management preferred.
Skills And Abilities- Ability to adhere to one's work schedule and manage time appropriately.
- Ability to circulate all types of cases preferred.
- Organization skills above average.
- Knowledge and experience in facility nursing care.
- Effective communication skills.

- Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency on the unit.

- Ability to correlate clinical data with patient's medical and nursing care.
- Ability to accommodate occasional frustration and anger on part of patients, families, and fellow nursing staff.
- Ability to transcribe physician's orders accurately and read labels and instructions completely.

Work is indoors in climate-controlled environment. Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids that may carry infection, to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to outdoor climate.
Physical RequirementsPhysical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and feel objects. Ability to climb, pull, push, and kneel. Ability to push a gurney with 150 lb. patient. Maximum unassisted lift = over 100 lbs. Ability to wear lead apron and push heavy equipment.
