Job Description & How to Apply Below
Otterbein-Promise House Coordinator VISTA
Otterbein University is an institution that serves the community by preparing graduates to engage locally and globally as they advance their professions and their communities. Over 44% of Otterbein students face significant socioeconomic barriers to their success. The VISTA project is housed on campus within the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) where we educate students through hands-on experiential opportunities. The VISTA program is integrated with student service organizations, leadership for social change programs, a food pantry and resource center (The Promise House), and a one-acre community give-back garden (The Otterbein Community Garden).
The Promise House hosts a Cardinal Resource Hub to integrate community resources from various non-profit and educational sites, bringing together food fairness work, emergency housing, microgrants, strategies for poverty alleviation, food production, nutrition education, financial literacy, and other educational programming.
