Join Kennonsburg Church as our Lead Pastor! Kennonsburg Church is a vibrant Christian community rooted in faith since 1839, serving the Seneca Lake and surrounding Appalachian foothills areas. As we prepare to welcome our next Lead Pastor, we're seeking a Holy Spirit led leader to guide our congregation into its next season of spiritual growth and community impact.

Why Kennonsburg? Kennonsburg Church is a Christ centered, Bible believing church with a long standing community presence and a clear vision for the future. Guided by our vision statement — "Spreading the love of Jesus Christ as a beacon near and far through the infilling and empowering of the Holy Spirit with obedience to Holy Scripture" — we are passionate about making disciples who are growing in their relationship with Christ and impacting the world around them.

We've developed a focused Strategic Plan that outlines our path forward, highlighting four key areas in our Mission statement:
Experiencing Jesus Christ through WORD;
Worship, Outreach, Relationship, and Discipleship. This mission shapes everything we do and helps ensure our ministries are impactful, intentional, and aligned with our values.

Our Church Profile reflects a healthy and unified body of believers with a strong commitment to spiritual growth, community outreach, and biblical teaching. With a dedicated staff and supportive leadership, we are excited to welcome a new Lead Pastor who will join us in pursuing this mission together.

• A full time pastor who is Holy Spirit led.
• An effective preacher and teacher focused on Biblical depth and relevance as guided by the Holy Spirit.
• A team developer committed to discipleship, shepherding, and apostleship.
• A servant leader with administrative insight prepared to steward church operations and strategic direction.

Our Pastor must have completed a minimum course of study consisting of at least one course in each of the following in order to comply with the Missionary Church Licensing Requirements:

• Old Testament
• New Testament
• Biblical or Systematic Theology
• Practical Ministry Theology
• Biblical Interpretation
• Homiletics or Communication
• Leadership
