Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Quality Control & Safety Technician to ensure our trusses meet company, customer, and industry standards while promoting a safe working environment. This role is responsible for inspecting products, monitoring plant safety compliance, and helping reduce workplace incidents.
This position plays a critical role in protecting both our employees and the quality of our finished product.
What You’ll Do Quality Control Responsibilities- Inspect roof and floor trusses for accuracy and structural integrity
- Verify plate placement, lumber sizing, and build specifications
- Compare finished product to engineered drawings and work orders
- Document quality issues and communicate corrective actions
- Work with production leads to improve build accuracy and reduce rework
- Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and hazard assessments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Assist with safety training and new hire orientations
- Investigate minor incidents and near-misses
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting logs
- Promote a culture of safety across the plant
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction or truss drawings (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and hold others accountable
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or safety experience preferred

Pay with no experience: $17.50/hr
ResponsibilitiesPay with safety and quality control experience is negotiable.
- Conduct inspections throughout the entire plant to maintain quality of production
- Must understand the configuration of trusses and panels
- Oversees any required corrective action to insure quality is completed within standard regulations.
Understanding of SPCA, MVP and Safari.
Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
