Material Handler - Shipping

Materials/Shipping Supervisor

Hourly

Position is responsible for the shipping and receiving of product.

• Competent reading, writing, math, and problem‑solving skills
• Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment putting safety first
• Ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers
• High School Diploma/ GED and automotive experience preferred

• Reading and writing skills adequate for following written instructions and completing required documentation.
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to lift and twist for 8‑10 hour shifts
• Computer literate
• Ability to get HILO license

• Responsible for staging loads for shipment.
• Receiving of raw material and returnable containers.
• Organized storage of finished goods prior to shipment.
• Entry of count point and receiving paperwork for the control of inventory and scheduling.
• Willingness to learn basic computer basic tasks pertaining to the shipment of goods to the customer, including electronic communications to customer.
• Responsible for loading trucks to meet the customer’s requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Housekeeping/5S; ongoing safety initiatives.
• Upholding processes and procedures as defined by supervision.
• Organization of empty containers in storage.
• Ability to use copier/scanner and barcode scanner.
• Responsible to take care of components, cardboard, fiber and put in the correct location on the plant floor.
• Help with monthly and yearly inventory.
• Required to haul empty containers outside of the facility and keep area cleaned.

Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
