Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in performing service, maintenance, and repair work on hydraulic cranes, winches, davits, and other hydraulic systems on board vessels.
  • Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic issues, interpret schematic drawings, and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
  • Overhaul hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, flow pressure and directional control units, and cylinders.
  • Install hydraulic hoses and related fittings onboard vessels.
  • Ensure all service and maintenance activities adhere to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Work onboard vessels, at shipyards, or at anchorage as required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in servicing marine hydraulic systems, such as cranes, winches, davits, hatch covers, or steering gear systems.
  • Hands‑on expertise with hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and related components.
  • Able to read and interpret hydraulic schematic drawings.
  • Capable of performing independent troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic equipment onboard ships.
  • Experience in hydraulic service companies, equipment manufacturers, or OEMs is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work at anchorage, overseas, and on weekends when necessary.
  • Comfortable to handle work in marine environments.
