Head of Production; m​/f​/d

To ensure that our growth in serial production is not only fast but also stable, scalable, and reliably deliverable, we are continuously strengthening and expanding our production organization.

As Head of Serial Production (m/f/d), you will take end-to-end responsibility for the performance and strategic development of our serial production at our Gilching site (near Munich).

You will own both strategy and execution: from defining and implementing the Serial Production Roadmap to driving shopfloor excellence and capacity steering, while consistently enforcing standards, processes, and risk management practices.

• Leadership & Strategic Governance
  Build, lead, and scale a high-performing serial production organization that keeps pace with our growth. Continuously evolve the Serial Production Roadmap in alignment with product strategy and industrialization, and establish governance structures, KPIs, and reporting frameworks suited for a high-tech serial production environment.

• End-to-End Output, Quality, Stability & On-Time Delivery
  Take full ownership of output, quality, production stability, and on-time delivery. Ensure the timely and quality-compliant manufacturing and assembly of complex UAS across the entire serial production process.

• Shopfloor Operations & Capacity Steering
  Oversee day-to-day production operations, including prioritization in case of bottlenecks and implementation of robust escalation mechanisms. Drive short-, mid-, and long-term capacity planning (people, equipment, processes) in close alignment with the Director Production and in line with growth targets.

• Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  Continuously improve serial production processes with a strong focus on stability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Drive sustainable standardization and stabilization of operations—moving from reactive firefighting toward robust routines, clear standards, and repeatability.

• KPI Ownership & Performance Management
  Own operational production KPIs and derive, implement, and track effective improvement initiatives. Ensure full transparency on performance, execution readiness, and operational risks.

• Cross-Functional Interfaces Along the Value Chain
  Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality Management, and Industrialization to ensure seamless handovers and to build a scalable and resilient serial production setup.

• Standards, Ways of Working & Risk Management
  Implement and rigorously enforce defined production standards, processes, and working methods, including lived risk management practices (e.g., documentation logic, inspection and release processes, deviation management).

• Operational Risk Mitigation
  Identify operational risks in ongoing production (e.g., process instability, quality risks, capacity or delivery risks) and proactively mitigate them together with relevant stakeholders.

• A degree in engineering or a comparable technical/vocational qualification.

• Proven experience leading multiple teams in a serial production environment, including accountability for output, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Deep understanding of manufacturing operations and a strong track record in ensuring production stability and high quality standards.

• Experience in scaling serial production and translating business requirements into robust operational setups (structures, processes, capacities, standards).

• Confident handling of ERP and production management systems, using data and reporting effectively for steering and decision-making.

• A combination of hands‑on leadership, strong execution focus, and strategic mindset—with clear shopfloor presence.

• Clear communication, structured working style, and sound decision‑making—especially in balancing daily operations with long‑term scaling.
