3rd Shift Material Handler

Overview

Job summary:

To ensure all machines are set up with material, polybags, boxes, screws, etc., including removal of such components from previous scheduled jobs. Follow all SOPs and Work Instructions. Safety always comes first; maintain a safe, clean environment.

• Communicate with the previous shift material handler to understand current work and take over as needed.
• Meet with your foreman at the start of the shift to receive direction on priorities.
• Ensure all machines have the correct material, blends, and colorants, and do not run out.
• Move finished goods from the machine after scanning is completed.
• Stock machines with WIP components and packaging material.
• Stock machines with materials, screws, boxes, etc.
• Provide an empty clean Gaylord for each machine for scrap parts, runners, etc., in accordance with internal procedures.
• When a job is complete, return all components to their original locations using proper scanning procedures.
• Use IQMS and/or the Work Order to determine machine component needs.
• Wrap the skids before placing them in the warehouse.
• Responsible for the use of regrind on all applicable jobs.
• Return material to the proper location using the scanner.
• Place old unusable skids neatly in the designated location.
• When cleaning hoppers or any material container, use the provided vacuum cleaner.
• Mix resins and colorants per manufacturing recommendations.
• Be responsible for drying resins per manufacturing recommendations.
• Keep all machines and auxiliary equipment free from spilled materials.
• Function as backup to the mold setter.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LMT will train to operate a forklift.
