Manufacturing Production, Operations Engineer
Position Overview:
The Production Technician is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product, in accordance with management and SOPs. Responsibilities include post-harvest tasks such as drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and labeling. The role requires timely work, productivity improvement, and professional use of all processing equipment.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Assist in post-harvest plant processing of cannabis.
- Remove fan leaves, harvest, dry, trim, cure, weigh, package, label, record, inspect, and clean.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang for drying.
- Hand trim or operate trimming machinery.
- Weigh, record, shred plant waste, and dispose of non-cannabis materials properly.
- Follow management instructions and assist with delegated tasks.
- Work efficiently and quickly.
- Adhere to HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 1-3 years of experience in production, including hands-on activities.
- Basic knowledge of weights and measurements.
- Availability for evening, night, weekend work.
- Speed, precision, and attention to detail with equipment.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain consistency daily.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Additional Abilities Required:
- Exposure to pollen, dust, and plant particles.
- Physical activity including prolonged sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50+ pounds.
- Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions accurately.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
