VAL-CO, a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, specializing in world-famous poultry watering and feeding systems, is currently looking for a Press Room Coordinator- 2nd Shift at our Coldwater, Ohio facility.

- Support department Supervisor to achieve all goals and directives as determined by management
- Support all directives determined by Safety Manager including participation in Safety Committee
- Train, instruct, and/or enforce all company safety policies and make certain safeguards are in place and proper safety tools/PPE are available for operators
- Comprehension, tracking, and communicating results from monthly K.P.I's including efficiencies, scrap, standard hours, daywork, and utilization
- Development of employees in department to improve performance in all areas including safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Complete any production tasks in department as required or directed by supervisor
- Assume all responsibilities for department when Supervisor is absent or utilizing PTO
- Setup all presses and machinery in press room using the safety procedures as outlined in company die setting procedure
- Coordinate the handling of material and/or dies as needed to expedite the material flow in, out, and within the department.
- Train, instruct and/or enforce company procedures for reporting all work order and inventory transactions required within department
- Perform quality audits accurately and daily, communicate observations with operators in real time to increase understanding of quality issues
- Maintain good housekeeping around machines and throughout department
- Collaborate with department Supervisor to determine department personnel levels for current and forecasted work demands

Requirements- Be able to understand and follow company part drawings and/or master.
- Have forklift license for press room.
- Have overhead crane training.
- Be proficient in use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, caliper, gages, rulers, etc.
- Ability to instruct and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
- Ability to efficiently plan and organize department resources.
- Possess good decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of steel fabrication and tooling processes
- Basic understanding of company computer system
- Must be able to turn laterally 90 degrees to right and left.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to shoulder height.
- Must be able to stand for 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs up to 6' distance up to 100 times per hour for 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to push or pull wagon load up to 1000 lbs up to 10 times per 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to reach above shoulders to actuate two hand trip controls.
- Must be able to actuate foot treadle machine controls.
- Must be able to position work pieces simultaneously in two separate stations of die to meet process standards.
- Must be able to use appropriate hand tools, writing utensils and measuring devices required to meet quality, safety and quantity standards.
- Must be able to read, understand and legibly complete company documents.
- Must be able to walk up to 200' in less than 2 minutes.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
- Must be able to plan and organize effectively.
