Machinist Class A role at Harris American Company.

• Plan, set-up and perform a variety of machining operations on any company machinery and equipment following generally standard practice and procedures.
• Set-up and operate equipment for boring, milling, drilling tapping, honing, drilling, cutting, etc on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.
• Set-up and operate machines such as drill presses, boring mill, lathe, broaching and honing equipment, CNC mills (horizontal and vertical), CNC lathe with supervision.
• Must be able to work from blueprints, specifications, work orders, instructions and other information with supervision.
• Determine and set feeds, speeds, etc according to material and finish requirements.
• Must be able to understand, adjust and modify CNC programs as required with supervision.
• Must be able to hold tolerances as required by prints and specification.
• Must be proficient at using a variety of measurement tools accurately.
• Complete all required daily paperwork and documentation.
• Assist with machine repair and preventive maintenance as required.
• Must work in a safe manner at all times.
• Keep group leader and supervision appraised of any issues, machine problems etc. at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
