Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Assembler Operator operates closure assembly machines, to produce finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. In addition, fill product hoppers from work-in-process (WIP) components. Performs quality checks, packages finished goods and manually palletize finished goods pallets according to the production order/customer specification.

• Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
• Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
• Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
• Perform line clearance at end of order.
• Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
• Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
• Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
• Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to move 200+ pounds with the assist of pallet jack.
• Constantly achieve established production output requirements.
• Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
• Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
• Willingness to work overtime when required. Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
