About the Role

We're hiring a Plant Mechanic to support concrete operations by performing preventative maintenance and repairs on batch plants and related equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable production by maintaining equipment, supporting plant operations, and minimizing downtime.

What You'll Do

* Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on concrete batch plants, mixers, conveyors, and related equipment

* Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems

* Maintain and repair company trucks, loaders, and other mobile equipment

* Operate a front-end loader to charge aggregate bins, load trucks, and maintain stockpiles

* Operate a concrete batch plant as needed to meet quality and production requirements

* Monitor plant performance and make adjustments to support efficient operations

* Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records

* Follow all safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environment

* Coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and dispatch to reduce downtime

* Report equipment issues or hazards promptly

* Maintain regular in-person attendance

Physical Requirements

* Prolonged periods of standing

* Ability to safely access and navigate plant facilities, including climbing ladders

* Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, or up to 100 lbs with assistance

* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

* Exposure to dust, noise, and industrial materials

* Willingness to work hours outside normal business hours as needed

What You Bring

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Mechanical aptitude in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems

* Experience with conveyor systems, batch plants, or industrial equipment (preferred)

* Welding and torch cutting skills

* Ability to safely operate a front-end loader

* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
