Overview
Silver Bridge Coffee Company is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Coffee Roasting & Production Associate. This role will be trained directly in coffee roasting, with production and packaging support as a secondary responsibility when not actively roasting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in specialty coffee, hands-on production work, and learning the craft of roasting in a growing, woman-owned, family-operated company.
Position:
Full Time – Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm
- Primary Responsibilities:
Coffee Roasting- Train under Lead Roaster to learn all aspects of coffee roasting
- Assist with and eventually perform:
Green coffee handling and weighing - Roasting according to established profiles
- Monitoring roast development, time, and temperature
- Logging roast data and maintaining consistency
- Follow all quality control and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting area
- Assist with routine roaster maintenance and cleaning
- Secondary Responsibilities:
Production & Packaging — When not roasting, this role will support daily production needs, including: - Weighing, grinding, and packaging coffee (12oz and 5lb bags)
- Applying labels and packaging per company specifications
- Assisting with flavored coffee production following established recipes
- Preparing orders for wholesale, online, and farmers market fulfillment
- Helping maintain a clean, organized production facility
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Prior coffee or food production experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in specialty coffee and roasting
- Mechanically curious and process-oriented
- Able to work independently once trained
- Team-focused with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working around heat, machinery, and food-safe environments
