Resaw Associate

Description

A&D, a business unit of Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Resaw Associate for our Peebles, OH location. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards in production and ensuring our products meet quality and safety standards. As part of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks working with a team to meet tight schedules and deadlines safely and efficiently.

• Set up and operate a banded saw to cut cants into boards to the correct thickness accounting to specs.
• Replace dull saw blades.
• Have a working knowledge of fractions and decimals.
• Able to obtain a forklift license and skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stack boards at a consistent pace.
• Able to work closely with other team members in a designated work area, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, with frequent stooping, squatting, overhead lifting, and walking.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in agriculture, production, or a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Detail oriented.

• The work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse production facility, frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, product irritants/allergens, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally, tasks may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and amidst moderate noise levels.
