Responsibility / Authority

Maintenance Technicians have the responsibility to:
Accept a variety of task assignments in the maintenance area in both the Float and OE Fabrication facilities.
Accept production assignments when necessary to meet business needs.
Identify, record and communicate any problems relating to the product or process.
Abide by all Federal, State, and Local requirements related to generating and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste material.
Follow all Plant/Companies rules, policies and procedures and contractual agreements.
Conform to expected conduct in a business environment.
Follow the Quality, Environmental and Safety policies.
Team members have the authority to initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problems through designated channels.

Follows all safety requirements.

Procedure

The maintenance technician performs a wide variety of tasks related to the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the operation.

Duties

Perform mechanical or electrical maintenance as required to maintain the operation.

Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.

Work on projects as scheduled or required to maintain the operation.

Required to assist in training others.

Participate in all audits: STOP Audits, GO Audits, internal audit, cross facility, management and third party registration audits (These are not an all inclusive list, but represent common examples).

Adhere to 5S and housekeeping standards and responsible for clean up of work areas upon completion of tasks.

Ensure maintenance work meets required standards.

Participate in required training and successfully complete required assessments or testing to verify understanding and knowledge.

Required to work in a safe, efficient, effective and reasonable pace.

Other duties as assigned.
