NIGHT SHIFT FOOD MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE/ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN Shift Hours
12AM to 8AM
4PM to 12AM
$30.60 and up hourly rate + $1-3.00 shift premium
$5000 sign on bonus
The Maintenance Technician maintains the efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment, while also creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Position is responsible for setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining production/manufacturing equipment and machinery. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer’s specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
Responsibilities- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Subject Matter Expert on a few plant production systems and equipment
- Capable of performing all minor mechanical rebuilds and assists in all major rebuilds
- Can perform set‑up procedures on some production plant equipment
- Troubleshoots and repairs most mechanical issues on plant production equipment
- Understands operation of most auxiliary support systems
- Able to replace all like‑for‑like electrical components and set them up
- Troubleshoots some electrical issues using proper tools and techniques
- May require assistance with device replacement setup
- 3 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience; experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings), product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings
