We are currently seeking a qualified CNC Machine Operator for our 2nd shift operations.
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM.
- Set up and operate a wide variety of CNC machinery, including mills and lathes.
- Determine fixtures, attachments, and tools required to complete jobs according to specifications and load them into the machine prior to machining.
- Discuss project specifications with machinists, supervisors, and planners to ensure alignment between plans and projects; collaborate to adjust machining schedules as needed.
- Modify machine speed, tooling, and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts.
- Supervise the machining process, monitor for issues, and implement corrective actions during setup to prevent errors.
- Oversee tool life, replace inserts as needed, and manage coolant for the cutting process.
- Review blueprints and CNC programs; propose alternatives if improvements can be made.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure quality.
- Perform daily cleaning and monthly maintenance of the machine, including lubrication, tool replacement, and insert changes as required.
- High school diploma or GED
- At least three years of experience operating CNC machines
- Comfort with hand tools, CNC tooling, and machinery maintenance
- Familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC software
- Blueprint reading
- Problem-solving abilities
- Able to use CNC tooling gauges
- Excellent attendance
