Electronics technician – automation technology

Electronics technicians for automation technology build, modify and expand complex automation systems. They assemble and install components, configure and program the systems, and test and commission them.

• You will gain comprehensive insights into the functional interactions and processes
• You will learn how to set up automation system sand to independently install components (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical)
• You will inspect automation systems and commission control systems, visualization systems and data networks
• You will monitor, maintain and repair automation systems
• You will learn to fix faults independently
• You will be taught methods for analyzing system, diagnostic and process data and how to use it for optimization purposes
• You will have the opportunity to document the work carried out and help optimize the processes
• Mittlere Reife (general certificate of secondary education)
• Interest in technical processes
• Logical thinking
• Good proficiency in mathematics and physics
• Open and friendly towards other people
• Careful way of working
• Standard training period: 3.5 years
• You will receive practical training in a company with many years of experience in vocational training and will have a permanent contact person throughout the training period
