Construction mechanics create precise metal structures from sheet metal, pipes and profiles. They plan based on technical documentation, weld, assemble and test components in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards. Whether in steel and metal construction, shipbuilding or welding technology, they ensure stable solutions in modern production processes.

• Planning tasks based on technical documentation
• Manufacturing components and metal structures (manually and by machine)
• Performing welding processes safely and in an environmentally friendly manner
• Assemble, dismantle and join metal structures
• Make support structures, fixtures and templates
• Use testing equipment and testing procedures for quality assurance
• Perform maintenance work on systems, machines and tools

• Read, apply and create technical bases
• Planning and controlling sequences of operations
• Machining work pieces by cutting, separating, converting and joining
• Assemble and disassemble component groups, devices and systems
• Set up and test pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
• Operate and monitor machines and rectify malfunctions
