Job Summary:

The Campground Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campground, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining safe, efficient, and well-organized facilities. This role provides leadership to campground staff, manages reservations and financial transactions, coordinates events and activities, and enforces campground rules and policies. The Campground Manager serves as the primary point of contact for guests and is accountable for operational performance, customer satisfaction, and overall campground success.

Campground Manager Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Customer Service:

  • Oversee all guest interactions to ensure a welcoming, professional, and high-quality experience for current and prospective guests.
  • Manage campground reservations, bookings, and cancellations using designated reservation and property management systems.
  • Address and resolve guest questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for guest-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide guests with campground information, local area recommendations, and clear communication regarding policies and amenities.

Front Desk, Reservations & Financial Transactions:

  • Oversee front desk operations, including phone calls, emails, online reservations, and in-person inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate processing of payments, refunds, and deposits in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor daily cash handling, transaction accuracy, and reporting.
  • Maintain organized records related to reservations, guest communications, and financial activity.

Operations, Grounds & Facility Oversight:

  • Oversee daily campground operations to ensure facilities, restrooms, bathhouses, and common areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate groundskeeping activities including mowing, trimming, landscaping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
  • Ensure delivery of guest services such as firewood, ice, and other campground amenities.
  • Identify maintenance needs, perform minor repairs when appropriate, and coordinate with vendors or maintenance teams for larger issues.

Staff Leadership & Scheduling:

  • Supervise, train, and support campground staff, including associates and seasonal employees.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Promote a positive, guest-focused team culture aligned with company values.

Events & Community Engagement:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee campground events and activities to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
