About this opportunity
Contract Manager responsible for overseeing the contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, mitigating risks, and supporting project delivery.

- Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
- Positively engaging with Customers and developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships.
- Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
- Contract oversight
- Ensuring contract compliance, overseeing the assurance process
- Preparing contract documents and drafting terms and conditions
- Drafting and issuing project correspondence
- Claims preparation and assessment
- Change control, variation management
- Subcontracting strategy, oversight & approvals
- Pro‑active commercial risk management
- Leading project meetings as appropriate
- Negotiating and awarding of contracts
- Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
- Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Contracts Management (FIDIC and national contracts)
- Experience managing contracts for construction projects in Germany.
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
- Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
- Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- High level of English and German (both).
- Engineering degree
