Fort Recovery Local Schools is seeking a full‑time second shift custodian. Position is for 8 hours daily Monday – Friday. Hours could be flexible but need to include some after school time into the evening. This is a 260‑day contracted position with additional flexibility with hours during the summer months. Routine duties will include sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and emptying trash cans.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for post‑event facility management/clean‑up, and will assist in seasonal grounds work. Additional duties could include some minor maintenance work as well. Candidates must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds such as cleaning supplies, pails, and unload trucks. - Must be able to read and interpret safety documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals. Basic writing and math skills are required as well as a high school diploma or GED. Successful candidates will be subject to a background check and drug test. Ideal start date would be on June 1 dependent on candidate availability. Salary and benefits are according to the classified salary schedule.
