Data-Driven Supply Chain Analyst

Major Roles & Responsibilities.

Data Analysis & Forecasting

Collect, interpret, and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.

Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales insights.

Inventory Management

Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize overstock or shortages.

Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for timely replenishment and inventory accuracy.

Supplier & Vendor Coordination

Evaluate supplier performance using key metrics such as delivery timelines, quality, and cost.

Support vendor negotiations and help maintain strong supplier relationships.

Logistics & Distribution Optimization

Analyze transportation routes, shipping costs, and warehouse operations to improve efficiency.

Recommend and implement logistics strategies to reduce lead time and costs.

Process Improvement

Identify bottlenecks within the supply chain and suggest process enhancements using Lean or Six Sigma principles.

Support automation initiatives and ERP/SAP system enhancements.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Prepare and present supply chain performance reports (KPI dashboards, cost analysis, etc.) for management.

Ensure accurate documentation and real-time visibility across supply chain processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply chain operations with company objectives.

Support new product launches by ensuring supply chain readiness.

Risk Management & Compliance

Assess potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, import/export regulations, and safety standards.

Technology Utilization

Use advanced tools like Excel, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems for data analysis and reporting.

Support digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain department.

Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement

Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance overall supply chain performance.
