The RoleWe’re hiring an IT Operations & Strategy Manager to lead and evolve the technology that supports both our office teams and field operations.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys owning the full IT environment, from day‑to‑day operations to longer‑term strategy. You’ll oversee systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support, while helping the organization use technology more effectively, securely, and intentionally.

What You’ll Do- Lead, mentor, and manage IT staff while overseeing daily department operations
- Own and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals and jobsite productivity
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and control costs
- Manage IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments
- Oversee infrastructure, networks, cloud systems, servers, and end‑user devices
- Ensure the reliability of critical business systems (ERP, estimating, scheduling, project management, timekeeping)
- Support field technology needs, including jobsite connectivity and tools such as GPS, telematics, reality capture, and survey platforms
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures including firewalls, MFA, device management, backups, and disaster recovery
- Conduct security reviews, support compliance efforts, and help educate teams on cybersecurity best practices
- Provide IT support for office staff, field supervisors, and project managers
- Manage the IT budget, vendor relationships, contracts, and technology procurement
- Proven experience leading IT operations and teams in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and business applications
- Experience supporting both office‑based and field‑based technology environments
- Clear, confident communicator with strong leadership and project management skills
- Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT operations experience (construction or contracting experience preferred)
- 5+ years of management experience preferred
- Experience supporting mobile and distributed work forces
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Strong understanding of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless)
- Familiarity with ERP and project management platforms commonly used in contracting environments (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Trimble, Kronos, Autodesk, Bluebeam)
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity tools, risk mitigation strategies, and best practices
