Role: Functional Consultant
Description: Functional Consultant will act as a bridge between the business stakeholders and the Data Science & Analytics teams, ensuring that advanced analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI solutions are aligned to real‑world commercial needs, market realities, and regulatory constraints. The consultant will play a critical role in stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, strategic alignment, and client relationship management, while working closely with Data Scientists to translate business problems into analytics‑driven solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong Germany market expertise in Oncology, deep understanding of Radioligand Therapy (RLT), and proven commercial pharma experience.
- Act as the primary functional interface with Germany commercial, medical, and analytics stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with brand teams, oncology franchise leads, and commercial excellence teams.
- Facilitate workshops to capture business needs and translate them into analytics and AI use cases.
- Ensure continuous alignment between client strategy and analytics delivery.
- Provide deep functional input on the German oncology market, with strong emphasis on Radioligand Therapy (RLT).
- Understand patient pathways, treatment adoption dynamics, HCP targeting, and competitive landscape in oncology.
- Guide analytics use cases related to:
- Launch excellence
- Patient identification & journey analytics
- HCP segmentation and targeting
- Field force effectiveness
- Market access and treatment uptake
- Translate business questions into clear functional requirements for Data Scientists and analytics teams.
- Partner with Data Scientists (Python, ML, GenAI, RAG, MLOps) to ensure:
- Business relevance of models
- Interpretability and actionability of insights
- Alignment with commercial decision‑making
- Validate outputs from analytics and AI models from a business and market lens.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies across data, analytics, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.
- Manage escalations and mitigation plans in collaboration with delivery and client leadership.
- Ensure analytics initiatives remain compliant with local German regulations and internal governance.
- Align analytics initiatives with Clients Germany’s commercial and oncology strategy.
- Help prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and timing.
- Support value tracking and storytelling around analytics‑driven outcomes.
- Support governance forums, steering committees, and regular business reviews.
- Provide structured updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client on analytics and AI enablement.
- 10‑12 years of experience in pharmaceutical consulting, commercial excellence, or analytics enablement.
- Strong experience working with Germany pharma market.
- Proven experience in Oncology, preferably with RLT exposure.
- Prior experience working with global pharma clients (Novartis experience is a strong plus).
- Deep understanding of:
- Oncology commercial models
- Product launches and lifecycle management
- Field force and omnichannel strategies
