Head of SAP TM (Transportation Management)
Germany | Hybrid | Permanent
Thor is partnering with a leading, employee-owned SAP consultancy in Germany to appoint a Head of SAP TM. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the SAP Transportation Management practice across Germany and wider Europe.
The role sits at the intersection of strategy, delivery, people leadership, and customer engagement, with a clear mandate to scale a high-performing SAP TM capability within a broader S/4
HANA logistics portfolio.
As Head of SAP TM, you will:
- Own and lead the SAP TM practice, including strategy, roadmap, and market positioning
- Build, mentor, and scale a team of SAP TM consultants and architects
- Act as senior escalation point and solution authority for complex SAP TM programmes
- Drive business development alongside sales and leadership teams (pre-sales, proposals, client workshops)
- Shape end-to-end S/4
HANA logistics and supply chain transformations with SAP TM at the core - Work closely with SAP and key customers across manufacturing, logistics, retail, and life sciences
- Influence go-to-market strategy and help define the future of the SAP logistics portfolio
Your Background
We’re looking for someone who brings both deep SAP TM expertise and credible leadership experience, including:
- Strong hands-on background in SAP TM (S/4
HANA), ideally from Solution Architect level upwards - Proven experience leading SAP TM teams, practices, or domains within a consultancy or large programme
- End-to-end understanding of SAP logistics (e.g. TM with EWM, SD, MM, IBP, or PP)
- Commercial mindset with exposure to pre-sales, proposals, and customer steering
- Comfortable operating at C-level and trusted advisor level with customers
- Fluent German and English
