Security Engineer

We are working with an IT and cybersecurity consultancy, supporting organisations with complex on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. They support clients across enterprise and public industries, assisting their customers in their mission-critical work, servicing their security and compliance needs.

The business places a strong emphasis on modern security practices, including automation, monitoring, and identity-driven security models. Due to mass expansion and growth across their Group, they are expanding their security function and are looking for a Security Engineer to assist them on their expansion mission.

They are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen their technical capability and support client-facing security projects, looking to assist the company in their growth throughout the organisation, working on exciting project across Germany.

• Lead analysis, triage, and investigation of complex security events.
• Actively contribute to Incident Response efforts, supporting containment and remediation activities.
• Plan, implement, and continuously improve the organisation’s IT security infrastructure.
• Operate, optimise, and enhance existing security tools in line with current threat trends.
• Automate routine and project-based tasks (Detection & Response as Code) within the SOAR platform.
• Develop and maintain Incident Response runbooks and automated workflows.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen security operations.
• Automation of Security Incident Responses

• Several years of hands-on experience in Security Operations.
• Strong background in Microsoft infrastructure analysis and forensics.
• Knowledge of IT security technologies such as SOAR, EDR/EPP, SIEM, NDR/IDS/IPS.
• Strong team spirit, initiative, and sense of responsibility.
• Excellent German language skills (spoken & written) and good English.
