The RoleThe Crypto / Web3 Research Analyst is responsible for structured research on projects, protocols, and themes across the digital asset ecosystem. The role focuses on gathering and organising information, analysing markets and on‑chain activity, and supporting investment decisions with clear, concise research – without any coding responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct desk research on crypto/ Web3 projects, protocols, and themes (infrastructure, DeFi, tools, consumer, etc.)
- Summarise key points on team, product, tokenomics, traction, and competitive landscape
- Track on‑chain and market activity using public dashboards, block explorers, and analytics tools
- Prepare short written briefs, comparisons, and updates for the investment team
- Monitor news, regulatory developments, and ecosystem updates relevant to existing and potential positions
- Help maintain internal databases and overviews of projects, categories, and narratives
- 1–3 years of experience in research, analysis, finance, consulting, crypto operations, or a similar analytical role
- Demonstrable crypto‑native experience: active use of non‑custodial wallets (e.g., Meta Mask, Phantom, Trust Wallet) and interaction with DeFi/CEX/DEX or NFT platforms
- Strong interest in digital assets and Web3, with a habit of following the space independently (newsletters, Twitter, podcasts, etc.)
- Ability to read and summarise complex information in clear, structured English
- Comfortable working with basic data (dashboards, simple metrics, spreadsheets) – no advanced modelling required
- Self‑driven, organised, and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Based in Germany and legally authorised to work there
Base Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annually (depending on experience)
Token Allocation: not applicable
Legacy: performance‑based bonus
