Senior Data Scientist (Operations Research)

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design and implement advanced algorithms for inventory optimization, forecasting, and decision support.

• Design and implement inventory optimization algorithms for order quantities, safety stock, and reorder points
• Build order optimization engines that balance ordering costs, holding costs, and stockout penalties
• Create multi-vendor sourcing optimization with business rule constraints
• Design key performance metrics and analytics for inventory health assessment
• Develop data enrichment processes and quality validation algorithms
• Collaborate with software developers to implement mathematical models in production
• Conduct experimentation and testing with business stakeholders

• Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
• Experience in supply chain optimization, inventory management, or procurement analytics
• Strong expertise in mathematical optimization (linear/integer programming, stochastic optimization)
• Proficiency in Python for data science and optimization
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare supply chain optimization
• Background in multi-echelon inventory optimization
• Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes
• Experience with real-time optimization and decision support systems
• Understanding of cost optimization in complex supply chains
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into mathematical models
• Proficiency with Spark and Databricks for large-scale data processing.
