Data Engineer, IT QA Tester / Automation, Data Analyst
Job Overview
We are looking for a QA Test Automation Lead in our Data Lake and Data Warehouse team. In this role you will be part of a team working to develop solutions that enable the business to leverage data as an asset at the bank. You will develop automation test strategies and frameworks ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and practiced, working closely with multiple technology teams across the enterprise.
Key technologies include Azure Dev Ops, Python, AWS S3, Snowflake, Zena, and Data Stage.
- Lead quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data ingestion and integration, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and secure data operations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT) and closely partner with the team for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, project managers, and compliance teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the ingestion lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
- Design and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy.
- Create daily/weekly test execution metrics and status reporting.
- Assist Project Managers and Scrum Masters to drive the project team toward defect resolution.
- Leverage existing tools and techniques to streamline and automate wherever possible.
- Actively participate in walk‑throughs, inspections, reviews, and user group meetings for quality assurance.
- Actively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings, and technical design specifications.
- Analyze data and troubleshoot data issues.
• 5+ years QA experience, ideally in a data warehouse
• Heavy SQL skill
• Python would be a bonus but is not required
• Automation experience with Pytest BDD and cucumber, and general familiarity with cucumber and gherkin

Pay & BenefitsPay range: $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
