Team Head & Technical Expert – Due Diligence – Mining Venture Capital

Overview

The Team Leader – Mining Technology will oversee and guide teams responsible for assessing and performing due diligence on technology startups focusing on mining innovations. This includes evaluating the techno-economic feasibility of emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and assessing potential for deployment in mining operations. Acting as a key liaison between Prospect Innovation and startups, this role provides direction on project focus, resource allocation, and strategic insights for investment decisions.

• Lead and manage teams conducting due diligence on technology startups in mining, focusing on innovation, scalability, and potential industry impact.
• Oversee techno-economic evaluations to assess the financial viability, economic impact, and cost-effectiveness of emerging technologies.
• Develop frameworks for assessing technology readiness, deployment viability, and strategic fit for the mining sector.
• Collaborate with startups and internal teams to align technology roadmaps with mining industry requirements and regulatory standards.
• Guide teams in conducting risk analysis, performance forecasting, and scenario planning to gauge technology sustainability and economic benefits.
• Mentor and provide direction to team members, promoting a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
