About the RoleOur client, a leading international SAP consulting and systems integration firm
, is seeking an accomplished Head of SAP EWM & MFS Practice to lead their logistics and warehouse automation capability across Europe.
This is a high-impact leadership role within the firm’s SAP Supply Chain practice, responsible for setting the direction of the EWM/MFS service line, managing senior consultants, overseeing complex project deliveries, and shaping the firm’s go-to-market approach in warehouse automation and digital logistics. There's an existing network already of 40 experts in the business focused on SAP and Warehousing.
The ideal candidate will be a recognised expert in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and MFS (Material Flow System) with deep consulting experience, strong client engagement skills, and a proven track record in leading large-scale transformations across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities- Build, lead, and grow the EWM & MFS consulting practice — driving capability development, resource planning, and strategic alignment with overall SAP practice objectives.
- Solution Ownership: Define the firm’s EWM/MFS service offerings, accelerators, and methodologies for both SAP S/4
HANA and decentralised EWM landscapes. - Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping solution roadmaps, driving digital logistics strategy, and identifying opportunities for automation-driven transformation.
- Project Delivery Oversight: Govern the successful delivery of large-scale EWM/MFS programmes — ensuring quality, timelines, and value realisation across multiple client engagements.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the firm as a subject matter expert at SAP and industry events, publishing insights on best practices in EWM, MFS, and intelligent warehousing.
- Business Development Support: Partner with sales and account teams to lead pre‑sales activities — solution scoping, proposal creation, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with automation technology partners (e.g. Siemens, Dematic, Swisslog, KUKA) and SAP to co‑develop new offerings integrating SAP MFS, BTP, and IoT.
- Talent Development: Mentor and upskill consultants in SAP EWM, MFS, and adjacent technologies, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Minimum 10–12 years of SAP Supply Chain experience
, with significant expertise in EWM and MFS (including integration with automation systems). - Proven experience in consulting leadership roles
, ideally within a major systems integrator or boutique SAP consultancy. - Strong understanding of end‑to‑end warehouse processes
, logistics execution, and automation technologies. - Experience in SAP S/4
HANA EWM (embedded or decentralised) and knowledge of BTP, CPI, and Integration Frameworks. - Demonstrated success in leading large‑scale, multi‑site EWM implementations across global clients.
- Excellent stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English;
German or other European languages advantageous.
