Job Summary
Westfield is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to help modernize and secure our software delivery platforms. In this hands‑on role, you'll work at the intersection of development, infrastructure, and security. This includes advancing automation, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and strengthening platform reliability. You’ll partner closely with cross‑functional teams to embed security into every phase of the delivery process, while driving adoption of Dev Ops best practices across the enterprise.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship.
Job Responsibilities- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of our Dev Ops toolchain, focusing on automation, scalability, and security integration.
- Work directly with development teams to promote Dev Ops principles, optimizing workflows, enabling shift‑left practices, and reducing friction in day‑to‑day engineering.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure‑as‑code and pipeline‑as‑code. (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Kubernetes YAML, and Terraform)
- Help manage and scale containerized workloads on Kubernetes/Open Shift clusters.
- Integrate quality and security checks into the development lifecycle using tools like Sonar Qube, Snyk, etc.
- Explore, evaluate and implement advancements to our Dev Ops practice. (e.g. New cloud deployment patterns, internal developer platform, GenAI development practices and safeguards)
- Provide thought leadership in advancing the organization’s Dev Ops strategy, alignment with business goals and technology trends.
- Advance branching and code merge strategies that enable frequent,
- Streamline the development and deployment platforms and processes, ensuring efficient collaboration between development, infrastructure and other stakeholders.
- Ensure synergies between software development and IT operations through automation, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure management standards and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in a Dev Ops, infrastructure, or application engineering role, with hands‑on implementation of modern Dev Ops practices.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and coaching developers on Dev Ops practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes/Open Shift).
- Experience designing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using pipeline‑as
- Solid understanding of good version control best practices (e.g., Git workflows, branching strategies).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Open Shift, and JIRA in a production environment.
- Exposure to Dev Sec Ops tooling such as Sonar Qube, Snyk, Git Hub Copilot, or similar.
- Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools and principles (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
Hybrid defined as three (3) or more days in the office per week.
