Position: Financial Reporting Transformation Lead (f/m/d)
Location: Germany

For a project we are looking for a Financial Reporting Transformation Lead (f/m/d).

Your tasks will be:
  • This project aims to modernize the financial reporting framework by introducing a scalable, automated, and insight-driven reporting structure. This initiative will enhance data transparency, streamline reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making through improved integration of financial and operational data
  • The external contractor will play a pivotal role in modernizing the reporting framework for the Digital Portfolio
  • Assessment of Existing Framework:
    Conducting a comprehensive review of current reporting structures, tools, and processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Design and Implementation:
    Developing and implementation a modern, scalable, and user-centric reporting framework tailored to the needs of the Digital Portfolio. This includes defining relevant KPIs, reporting hierarchies, and data flows
  • Tool Integration and Automation:
    Leverage reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP, and Excel to create automated, interactive dashboards and reports. Ensure seamless integration of data sources and alignment with business requirements
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaboration closely with internal stakeholders in Group Controlling, including the Portfolio Management and Operational Excellence teams as well as the Business Partners and Group Controlling management, to gather requirements, validate outputs, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
    Establishing and maintaining robust data governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data across all reporting outputs
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
    Preparing comprehensive documentation of the reporting framework and provide training or handover sessions to internal teams to facilitate adoption and long- term sustainability
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Proactively identifying and implement ion enhancements to the reporting framework, ensuring it remains adaptable to evolving business needs and technological advancements
Following know-how is required:
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT / Digital controlling
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, ideally within digital portfolios or technology-driven environments. Proven track record of designing and implementing reporting frameworks in complex organizational settings
  • Technical Expertise:
    Proficiency in financial reporting tools and platforms, including Power BI, SAP, and advanced Excel. Strong understanding of data modelling, automation, and integration of multiple data sources
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights. Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to digital business models
  • Project Management:
    Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Experience in agile or iterative development approaches is an advantage
  • Communication and

    Collaboration:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization. Capable of translating technical concepts into business-relevant language
  • Documentation and Training:
    Experience in preparing clear documentation and delivering knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams to ensure sustainability of implemented solutions
  • Experience in the TSO sector is a plus
  • Solid practical SAP and Power BI know-how
  • Enhanced Excel know-how
  • Practical experience with large data sets
  • Fluent German and English (min. C1 or comparable)
