Lead Category Sourcing Manager – Software

Join Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Supply Chain Sourcing team as a Hybrid employee. In this role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of software sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for IT technology categories.

• Negotiate IT contract renewals, structure and lead complex negotiations including license management, and deliver multi‑year savings.
• Plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives: evaluate vendors, negotiate award, manage supplier relationships, and maintain governance & compliance.
• Act as IT Escalation Lead – central point of contact for Managed Services Providers and internal IT procurement teams, handling high‑profile vendor and contractual issues.
• Oversee day‑to‑day contract management operations, including review, approval, tracking, and SOP enhancements for continuous improvement.

• 5+ years of procurement experience in strategic sourcing and contract management within a global, complex corporate environment; consulting background preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT technology categories (hardware, software, labor) with a focus on software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field; MBA preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros not required) and strong contract negotiation skills.
