RoleWe're looking for an Executive Recruiter to operate at the sharp end of recruitment – combining traditional 360 recruitment with a modern talent acquisition mindset. This is a senior, hands‑on role. You'll manage high‑value assignments, build long‑term client partnerships, and run intelligent search processes rather than rely on “post and pray”. If you've led or mentored others, great – but this is not a pure people‑management role.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery of end‑to‑end recruitment across executive, senior and specialist roles
- Lead retained, exclusive and contingency assignments
- Conduct structured, research‑led candidate search and market mapping
- Interview, assess and shortlist candidates to a high professional standard
- Manage offer processes, negotiations and post‑placement care
- Partner with clients as a trusted hiring advisor, not just a supplier
- Advise on roles, talent availability, remuneration and hiring strategy
- Build and maintain long‑term talent pipelines for critical skill areas
- Use data, insight and market intelligence to inform recruitment decisions
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
- Proactively identify opportunities within existing accounts
- Represent the business professionally in a small, reputation‑driven market
- Mentor or support junior consultants where appropriate (Desirable, Not Essential)
- Contribute to best practice, process improvement and knowledge sharing
- Potential to take on formal leadership responsibilities over time
- Proven experience in professional, executive or specialist recruitment
- Strong sourcing and headhunting capability (Linked In, networks, direct search)
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and complex hiring processes
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
- High standards of professionalism, discretion and delivery
- Desirable: prior team‑lead experience
