Your ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Team Lead People & Culture to provide both strategic partnership and operational leadership, ensuring our People & Culture (P&C) function is a source of growth, engagement, and compliance across the organization. In this role, you will inspire and empower our P&C team, guide managers and leaders, and serve as a hands‑on advisor driving all aspects of talent acquisition, people operations, process improvement, and employee development.
You will not only oversee all core HR processes, but also actively perform and participate in daily HR operations, ensuring tasks such as payroll, benefits, recruitment and employee lifecycle administration are carried out accurately and efficiently. You’ll foster strong connections between our local team in NY and our headquarters in Germany, collaborating on global P&C initiatives and helping to shape an inclusive culture where employees and our business thrive.

- Lead, develop, and inspire the People & Culture team to ensure high-impact P&C support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Act as a trusted Business Partner to leaders and managers by providing proactive advice on people, organizational, and change topics—combining strategic guidance with hands‑on support in daily P&C operations to meet the needs of business.
- Take an active role in recruitment and onboarding activities, managing processes end‑to‑end and helping to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee all People Operations activities—including payroll, benefits, and compensation—to guarantee accurate, compliant, and efficient P&C administration and to provide an excellent experience for employees.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across the P&C landscape, and drive the implementation of optimized, scalable workflows.
- Build and scale onboarding, training, and professional development programs to upskill employees and managers.
- Contribute to and drive initiatives related to talent development, employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
- Build a collaborative connection between HQ in Germany and the local team in NY to actively participate in global P&C projects.
- Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensure all P&C policies, practices, and HR systems are fully compliant and continuously optimized.
- The pay range is between $106,000 to $144,000 depending on experience.
- This is a salary position with a standard 40 hours work week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm EST.
- Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant P&C/HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the tech industry.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other HR certifications required.
- Solid expertise in HR fundamentals: talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, benefits & compensation, HR administration, and employment law.
- Experience as a business partner to managers and senior stakeholders, with strong consulting and advisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and build trustful relationships at all levels.
- Leadership and people development – Proven ability to motivate, develop, and empower teams and individuals towards high performance.
- Problem‑solving and solution orientation– Strong analytical thinking, a hands‑on, pragmatic approach to complex challenges, and the ability to present well‑founded recommendations for decision‑making.
