Staff Bright is working with a client identify a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to lead their people operations. In this role, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, driving initiatives that support engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.

This role is 100% onsite near Flat Rock, OH. There is a full relocation package provided if needed.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Serve as a key HR contact for both hourly employees and leadership, building trust and maintaining strong relationships at all levels.
  • Act as a bridge between the front-line workforce and management, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and keeping the environment fair and harmonious.
  • Coach leaders on employee relations and communication best practices, ensuring consistent and respectful treatment of employees.
  • Bring an “eager and hungry” mindset while leveraging prior HR experience to improve processes, enhance culture, and support engagement and retention.
What We Need From You:
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5 years in a people management role.
  • Background in manufacturing or automotive; must have hands‑on experience working in a plant environment.
  • At least 2 years of labor relations experience in a union facility
    , with a solid understanding of how to operate within a labor contract.
  • Experience handling grievances and partnering with leadership and union representatives to ensure fair, compliant, and effective resolutions.
  • Plant expansion experience, including supporting workforce planning, organizational changes, and HR processes during periods of rapid growth or new facility build‑outs.
