Position: STNA/Therapeutic Program Worker Bonus $1000
Location: Georgetown

The Ohio Veterans Homes, part of Ohio Department of Veterans Services, are trauma‑informed, long‑term care facilities that deliver excellent nursing home care at Sandusky and Georgetown and domiciliary living to qualified veterans in Sandusky.

Therapeutic Program Worker
  • Starting Hourly Pay: $22.60 per hour ($47,008 annually)
  • 1st Raise in 6 Months: increase to $22.96 per hour ($47,757 annually)
  • $500 bonus after 120 days and another $500 bonus after one year
  • Multiple pay increases over your first 5 years of service, with an end salary of $25.77 per hour ($53,602 annually for first shift employees)
  • Shift differential pay for 2nd & 3rd shift
  • Longevity increases start at your fifth year and grow as long as you stay with the State of Ohio
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,000 annually
  • Potential for up to $4,000 in referral bonuses

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communication, and feeding.
  • Transport residents and attend activities or programs with residents.
  • Complete various daily, monthly, and other required documentation.
  • Observe and report any changes in symptoms, behaviors, accidents, incidents, or injuries to charge nurse.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in the living areas.
  • Apply safety and infection control measures.
  • Assist with redirecting unsafe actions to bring about positive outcomes.
  • Assist nursing personnel with admissions, discharge, and transfer of residents.
Qualifications
  • Current STNA/CNA certification or listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No experience required.
