Paramedic, Emergency Department – Summa Health System, Green ED

Part Time, 24 Hours/Week, 7p–7:30a

Provides assistance to the Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists in pre‑hospital and Emergency Department triage, stabilization, and transport of patients.

Formal

Education Required:

Successful completion of a course approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS in Paramedic education and current certification by the State of Ohio.

Experience & Training

Required:

One (1) year of field experience (recent, within the past five years), as an EMT in a part‑time or full‑time capacity.

• Current certification in BLS‑HCP and ACLS
• May require current certification in PALS – varies by location
• Other certifications and competencies as required by department
• Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity

• Heavy:
  Exerts 50–100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25–50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10–20 pounds of force continuously to move objects
• Ability to move and lift patients

$23.75/hr – $28.49/hr the salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range.
