- Conduct regular coding audits for all HSO clinicians to verify that CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes are assigned correctly and in compliance
- Detect coding discrepancies, documentation deficiencies, and billing errors
- Provide feedback and training to clinicians, coders, and clinical staff
- Assist in the preparation of reports and audits to demonstrate compliance and identify areas for financial improvement
- Support risk adjustment coding to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate reimbursement, and compliance with Medicare Advantage and other risk-based payment models
- Lead coding and documentation training sessions as part of the onboarding process for new clinicians
- Regularly review and update coding education materials, presentations, and resources
- Maintain all audit reports and provide weekly updates to the billing and coding manager
- Regularly review CMS and OIG Work plan to identify areas of potential risk to HSO
- Assist with new coder training as needed
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM guidelines required
- Current CPMA or CPC with audit experience required
- 1-2 years of experience required
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and Specialized Training required
