Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, combined with strong analytical ability.

2 to 4 years of relevant experience in M&A, private equity, or related fields (corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting) with exposure to transaction execution.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills; confident in valuations and modelling.

Understanding of due diligence and key legal documents.

Genuine interest in combining climate impact with financial performance.

International mindset, preferably with experience or exposure in Scandinavia or Germany.

We’re looking for an Investment Associate to join our dedicated deal team. You will play a key role in analysing and executing investments in European scale-ups across the energy transition, decarbonising industries, circular materials and other climate-positive sectors. The role combines rigorous financial work with clear ownership in parts of the investment process.

Support the full investment process from screening to closing.

Build and analyse financial models and valuations.

Prepare investment memoranda and transaction documentation.

Coordinate due diligence processes and lead selected work streams.

Liaise with external advisors (legal, financial, impact).

Support origination efforts across the team.

Conduct market and competitor analyses.

Work directly with founders and management teams on analytical deep dives.

Identify risks, commercial drivers and value creation opportunities.

Assess and analyse the climate impact of potential investments.

Integrate impact insights into due diligence and investment cases.

Support portfolio monitoring and reporting, including impact metrics.

Takes ownership and seeks clarity when needed

The new Investment Associate will strengthen Seven Gen’s deal team and support the execution of investment processes. The role is primarily focused on deal execution, including financial analysis, valuations, due diligence coordination and preparation of investment documentation. The Investment Associate will also support origination efforts across the team and will be directly involved in assessing and measuring climate impact alongside financial performance.

The role also includes analytical work with management teams and ongoing support for portfolio companies. You will work closely with the partners and the rest of the team, with clear ownership over your parts of each process.

The associate will gain full exposure to the investment process and develop independence toward taking deal responsibility.

Compensation is competitive and aligned with market standards for investment roles at this level. It includes a base salary and a performance based bonus. There is also the potential to participate in the fund’s carry structure after demonstrating strong performance and a good fit within the team.
