As part of our finance team, you’ll take ownership of recording and reconciling business transactions, managing payments, and keeping our financial data accurate and up to date. You’ll play a key role in financial reporting, tax preparation, and audits—helping ensure transparency and reliability across all our accounting processes.
Key DutiesRecord and reconcile all current business transactions in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
Maintain master data and manage open items to ensure accurate account balances
Handle payment transactions, including SEPA direct debits and bank transfers
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Prepare provisions, accruals, and account reconciliations
Prepare advance VAT returns and monitor compliance with tax requirements
Assist with tax audits and collaborate closely with tax advisors and auditors
Prepare analyses, statistics, and financial reports to support management decisions
- Completed commercial training, e.g., industrial clerk or tax clerk; ideally supplemented by further training as a financial accountant (IHK) or comparable professional experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Good knowledge of the Commercial Code and basic knowledge of tax law, in particular sales tax
- Knowledge of the accounting software Infor/XA, Blackline, Prophix is an advantage
- Very good Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, links, and basic formulas)
- Precise and structured way of working, high reliability, and strong numerical skills
- Good communication skills and team orientation
- Very good written and spoken German; good English skills
