Job Purpose:

The Quality and Control Payroll Specialist oversees payroll auditing and quality control to ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and company policies. This role involves analyzing systems and procedures, identifying payroll error trends and risks, developing audits to mitigate these risks, and providing detailed reports with recommendations for improving internal controls.

Your tasks:

• Manage multiple work queues, ensuring work is assigned appropriately and within SLAs.
• Recommend and implement process improvements; identify risk mitigation opportunities and provide value-added solutions.
• Oversee auditing functions for all payrolls processed.
• Develop and maintain audit reports and queries.
• Review payroll documents and policies for compliance with laws and company standards.
• Prepare and communicate payroll audit reports to management.
• Assist in developing procedures and timelines for document submission.
• Explain payroll auditing policies and procedures to stakeholders.
• Review interface feeds for data integrity issues and develop audit reports accordingly.
• Ensure accuracy in payroll audits.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and management through effective communication.
• Collaborate across HR and Payroll Operations to strengthen relationships and support routine processes.

Your profile:

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll expertise.
• Extensive US payroll experience and knowledge of complex HR processes affecting payroll.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of ADP Vantage, Kronos, or similar systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
