Citizens National Bank has an excellent opportunity available in our Bluffton market for a Part Time Teller. In this role you will develop customer relationships by providing existing and potential customers with a full range of banking products and efficient and accurate services.
Typical Day- Building customer relationships by assessing their financial needs, explaining the different types of accounts and services available and assisting in the selection of the most appropriate ones for their situation.
- Anticipating customer needs and cross‑sell the bank's products and services and making referrals to specialized areas of the bank.
- Assisting customers with service requests, addressing complaints, and researching account problems, including account maintenance, reconciling checkbooks, completing forms for direct deposits, transferring funds, etc.
- Receiving deposits for, and paying withdrawals from, savings accounts of customers with proper identification and appropriate documents.
- Verifying customer balances on any checks larger than the amount specified in the check cashing procedures to ensure safety for the customers as well as for the bank.
- Maintaining currency and coin supply as prescribed by bank policy, and remaining familiar with all security equipment and safety precautions.
- Balancing daily all transactions recorded through the teller station while on duty.
- Verifying and maintaining accurate transaction logs on deposit bags and envelopes as assigned.
- Complying with all bank, state, and federal policies, procedures and regulations.
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years experience desired in servicing the public, building relationships, making referrals, and obtaining sales.
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Well‑developed working knowledge of the bank's products and services, along with the applicable regulations and operating systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
